It already feels so good to recount–for once–where we were when a Supreme Court ruling came down that didn’t alter our course for freedom for the worst. For us, we happened to be in a meeting amongst our trusted comrades we have fought alongside for years when we learned about the latest decision. For once, we had great news to celebrate and as a result, we have great news to share: SCOTUS has ruled to maintain the status quo on mifepristone, leaving the current regulations and legal status intact (for now).

For North and South Carolinians, this means we maintain our (very limited) access to the pills that constitute a medication abortion–both Mifepristone and Misoprostol. We know all freedoms are hard fought, and our work is far from over. While we never for a moment shift our heads from swiveling, we encourage and beg one and all to celebrate this tiny and long overdue victory.
